Super Bowl Gig cancelled

Postby Tom » Sat Feb 06, 2010 8:50 pm

I'm sure most of you know by now but PPL's scheduled special appearance at the Super Bowl was cancelled about 2 weeks ago due to unforseen circumstances, most unfortunate. Roger Daltry, a long time fan of PPL crossed paths with band members some time ago and made the arrangements. Our guys were to join him onstage for a rendition of Amie, one of Daltry's favorite songs, but it's just not going to happen now. I guess we'll just have to catch the band on tour this year, no wardrobe malfunctions, no glitz or commercials just the sounds of the Prairie.

All the best,
Tom

Dear Tom;
Thanx for spilling the beans about the Half-Time appearance ! We were trying to keep that on the down-low, because Pete (Townshend) was getting a bit testy about sharing his stage. Now he and Daltrey are mad at each other, and you've let everyone know what kind of troublemakers we really are ! Well, enjoy the hot wings; we'll be hiding out.
Best,
Mike
