JR, or anyone else in a position to know: what might a set list from this era have looked like for these bands...any originals at the time or mostly covers?

Not a clue Tom. But my guess for the Swiss Navy would be the usual tunes of the time: Gloria, Money, Beatles, Stones, etc... Maybe some of the Waverly crew can chime in here. As for Waldren Hill, I can't even imagine. Not even sure what year it is, but my guess given the dress and JD's steel, that Byrds, Burrito's, The Band, etc... Again, maybe the Pike County gang can help. Isn't Coffee on the forum at times? He might remember....

PS: Will I see you at the Chillicothe show this weekend?

Actually this is John and yep I plan on being at the Saturday show - still waiting to hear back from the ticket site...I'll go and buy 'em there that day if need be...wouldn't miss this one!

Those are great pics BTW...reminds me of local band pics from the same time in & around Oxford.

Jeff:

Thanks so much, what a blast from the past.

I will look you up this Saturday night.

Will you have the 64 track digital mixer running that night? :-)

And how about a little realtime video action.

Take care and thanks again.

Waldren Hill. John Call and Jim Dyke went on to become part of the house band at Frankfort Ohio. It was called the Ross County Jamboree. Starr Smith would stop in and sing with another Pike County singer Dell O'Perry. John and Jim were known for there superb picking. Saturday mites show proved that from John still after 40 years. :)
