George Ed at Newark show?

Postby Doug » Sun Oct 07, 2012 5:25 pm

Hey Mike! Any chance of George Ed Powell guest starring at the Newark, Ohio show? Thanks for inviting him to all those other shows as well! George always blends right in on guitar and we all love his vocal stylings! Thanks for all these years of entertaining us. In the end it's all about the music and we (the fans) can't help but dig PPL's groove. Mighty Fine!

No George Ed Powell, alas. "It was a little further than he wanted to drive" said Mike. "But he will be at the Newport, Ky. show in March". Anytime George or Craig or any of the old Leaguers get a chance to join the boys on stage, obviously it's bonus. But I will say this... the band does not need the extra guitar or vocals. The Newark show was smoking hot with just the new four piece ensemble. John David fans rejoice, JD is performing some of the best licks of his career, and at front and center of the stage, trading licks with Donnie Lee, I can honestly say the League has a hot new sound, and if you go see a show, you will not be disappointed. :D
